Andy Warhol (1928 - 1987) was famous, because he never said the truth about themselves, his family and his origin.
He adapted all to its mail goal in life - to make art, to become famous and to be rich.

Warhol's fame and interest in his paintings, serigraphy and drawings grow from year to year not only in the United States, Europe and Asia but also in our country, Slovakia.

His work of art Camouflage is one of his recent themes, where he incorporates self-portrait, then gained it a new dimension and meaning.

What Warhol conceales during his life, it was confessed - his parents, Andrew and Julia (neé Závacká) Mikov´s come from villages in eastern Slovakia, and from there emigrated to Pittsburgh, where his brothers John and Paul were born and they live still there.


Slovak´s story about Andy Warhol visited to Bratislava, and also to Zoya MUSEUM in Modra.


Present exposition in Zoya MUSEUM in Modra composes from 120 original work of art by Andy Warhol and is the largest collection, which was exposed in Slovakia.


Exhibition is open: from 1 June 2010 until the end of 2010:

Monday - Tuesday: closed
Wednesday - Saturday: from 12:00 to 20:00
Sunday: from12:00 to 18:00
